About Me

I'm a Data Science student at Purdue University, but I'm also extremely interested in building software. I usually practice software development by taking something I use every day and rebuilding a piece of it myself to help me understand how it works. That's why I've worked on a relational database engine, a multithreaded HTTP server, and a browser extension that does OCR and translation. My projects often start because I needed to solve a problem in my life, or because I want to learn more about a topic I'm interested in.

Outside of personal projects, I spent a year teaching kids ages 7-14 how to code at Let's Code, which taught me a lot about about explaining new topics to less experienced people and managing a classroom of 25.
